Twiggly began as a dream, not a simple one — but a dream that could grow into something meaningful.

Founded by Elliot Barr, a father of four and a passionate artist and writer with a deep love for nature, Twiggly was born from both personal experience and purpose.

Elliot was an active member of his community, he was determined to clean polluted forests and rivers in his local area. With ambitions to one day start a charity dedicated to protecting nature, he shared his journey on social media and began building momentum.

In 2022, at the age of 29, Elliot underwent spinal surgery that severely limited his ability to continue this physical work. While navigating chronic pain, declining mental health, and the loss of his job, Elliot rediscovered his passion for art and storytelling.

Rather than giving up on his dream, he found a new way to pursue it — clean the world one story at a time.

Believing that children hold the future of our planet, Elliot set out to inspire young readers to care for nature, understand their impact, and grow into a generation that protects the world around them.

Through perseverance and personal growth, Elliot created Greenboy and the Plastic Planet, the first story in the Adventures of Greenboy series.

Today, Twiggly stands as an independent publishing house dedicated to inspiring children to fall in love with nature and grow up ready to protect it.
